AI in tax is moving from answering questions to doing the work, and that shift could be the biggest capacity opportunity firms have seen in years. The advantage will go to the firms that know how to put it to work.

Most tax practitioners already use AI for quick answers. The next step is AI that follows a defined process and hands you a draft deliverable to review. For many firms, that's the closest thing to adding capacity without hiring.

This session cuts through the noise. You'll see what's changed, watch it work on a real-world tax task, and get hands-on time to try it yourself.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Distinguish between AI chat and agentic Workflows, including how much practitioner direction and review each one requires.
  • Identify recurring tasks in a firm that suit a Workflow, and tasks that need professional judgment.
  • Apply a structured review process to check Workflow output before it reaches a client.
  • Evaluate a Workflow-generated client output  for accuracy, completeness and unsupported assumptions.
  • Assess how using a Workflow affects time per engagement, client turnaround time and billing in their own practice.
